Sunshine Coast Detached Listings
Sales up by 63% over the previous year

There are currently 321 detached listings on the Sunshine Coast. This is up slightly from July 31 when there were 309 detached listings. Detached sales year-to-date ending August 17, 2016: 737 sales, in 2015: 453 sales; in 2014: 351 sales, and in 2013: 301 sales. The current market's hot price range is between $351,000 and $450,000 with 172 sales occurring in this price range. With the current sales pace, this represents approximately a three-and-a-half-month supply of listings.

Sunshine Coast Attached Listings
Sales up by 42% over the previous year

There are currently 73 current attached listings. This is up slightly from July 31, when there were 69 attached listings. Attached sales this year-to-date ending August 16, 2016: 158 sales; in 2015: 111 sales; in 2014: 71 sales and in 2013: 58 sales. With the current sales pace this represents an approximate 4-month supply of listings. Attached listings represent strata unit apartments, condos and townhouses. Attached property sales are up over the previous years.

Sunshine Coast Land Listings
Sales up by 233%over the previous year

There are currently 271 bare land listings. This is down slightly from July 31 when there were 282 land listings. Land sales year-to-date ending August 17, 2016: 303 sales; in 2015: 91 sales; in 2014: 37 sales, and in 2013: 36 sales. With the current sales pace this represents an almost seven-and-a-half-month supply.

2016 has been a huge year to date despite a bit of softening in the past month. Last year at this time we had 21 sales over a $1,000,000 compared to this year with 59 sales over a $1,000,000. More to come with the end of the month report.
