Sunshine Coast Detached listings
There are currently 462 detached listings on the Sunshine Coast. This is way down from 2014 where in the same period we had 565 detached listings. Detached sales year –to- date ending January 31, 2015: there are 25 in 2014 there were 28 sales, in 2013 there were 31 and in 2012 there were 33 sales. The current market's hot price range is between$0 and $400,000, with 17 of the 25 sales occurring in this price range. With the current sales pace this represents a eighteen month supply of listings.
Sunshine Coast Attached Listing
There are 160 current attached listings. This is up slightly over 2014, where in the same period we had 147 attached listings. Attached sales this year to date ending January 31, 2015 there were 4; in 2014 there were 12 sales; in 2013 there were 5 sales and in 2012 there were 2 sales. With the current pace of sales this represents an 40 month supply of listings. Attached listing represents strata unit apartments, condos and townhouses. Attached property sales are up over the previous years.
Sunshine Coast Land listing
There are 374 bare land listings. This is down slightly from 2013 when we had 358 listings. Land sales year-to-date ending January 31, 2015, there were 7 sales. In 2014 there were 2 sales. In 2013 there were 5 sales and in 2012 there were 5 sales. With the current sales pace this represents a sixty-three month supply.

Well 2015 is off to great start, we are a little off of January 2014 but polling a few Realtors they are finding their phones quite active with Buyer enquiries and listings currently are the lowest in years on the Coast. Below is taken from the REBGV Communication Report
“Home buyers remain active despite reduced selection
The first month of 2015 saw home sale activity above historical norms, while the number of homes listed for sale trended below typical levels.
The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) reports that residential property sales in Greater Vancouver reached 1,913 on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in January 2015. This represents an 8.7 per cent increase compared to the 1,760 sales recorded in January 2014, and a 9.6 per cent decline compared to the 2,116 sales in December 2014.
Last month’s sales were 14.9 per cent above the 10-year sales average for the month.
“While demand remains steady, we’re seeing fewer homes for sale at the moment,” Ray Harris, REBGV president, said. "This is creating greater competition amongst buyers, particularly in the detached home market. The number of detached homes listed for sale today is the second lowest we’ve seen in four years.””
